Our handmade coloured glasses are manufactured in Poland by a traditional glassworks with a rich 100 year history. The stemware is crafted from premium crystalline glass prized for its durability, transparency, resistance and clear tone when clinked for a toast. Together with the manufacturer, we have developed a custom palette of lustrous colours that will be extended every season to keep the collection alive.

Ufer Glassware is inspired by the location of our store Hallesches Haus, on the bank of the Landwehr Canal in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Tending the shop on quiet mornings, we found we would look forward to the moment when the sunlight would refract against the rippling waters of the canal and dance across our interior walls. All at once, our entire shop would be ablaze in light and colour and momentarily dazzle the eye. With a slight stretch of the imagination, it was almost like being on holiday by the sea in the middle of Berlin. What if we could capture that moment, to re-live it whenever we liked? In 2023 we set out to create a collection of high-quality coloured glasses in fun jewel tones that could be mixed and matched by our customers to celebrate their own small moments.

Sustainability is as important to our production partner as it is to us – over the past few years they have initiated a project to develop low-waste technology for the manufacture of glass products with increased strength. Working directly with our central European neighbor allows us to keep shipping environmental mpact as low as possible and and the quality at a high standard.
